A 22-year-old college student, Eileen Cherotich, has died from injuries sustained when she was thrown out of a moving car by her boyfriend.
The tragic incident occurred on the way home from a night out in Nakuru town, allegedly after a disagreement between the couple.
According to eyewitnesses, Cherotich, a business student at the Rift Valley Institute of Science Technology, was returning home from a night out with friends when she had a falling out with her boyfriend.
In a shocking turn of events, he reportedly threw her out of the moving vehicle, resulting in fatal injuries.
The suspect and three others were arrested and taken into custody at the Nakuru West police station, where they are being held as investigations unfold.
The vehicle used in the incident has also been impounded.
In response to the tragedy, students at the Rift Valley Institute of Science Technology blocked the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway on Sunday, demanding justice for their slain comrade.
Cherotich’s body has been moved to the Nakuru County Referral Hospital Mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
The investigation is ongoing, with detectives working to piece together the events leading up to the fatal incident.
