In a statement issued by the Archdiocese of Nairobi, Archbishop Philip Anyolo announced the passing of Rev. Fr. Peter Kiarie Mutunga on Saturday afternoon.
Fr. Kiarie was a dedicated diocesan priest with a long history of service within the Archdiocese of Nairobi.
Fr. Kiarie, who hailed from Munyu Parish – Thika, was ordained to priesthood on 29th May 1993. His last appointment was at St. Martin De Porres Parish, Karuri.
Till his death, he served in the following Parishes: Holy Family Githunguri Parish, St.Francis Xavier Parish Parklands, St. Michael Otiende Parish, Thigio Parish, St. Martin Depores Parish, among others.
He also served as the Executive Director of Caritas Nairobi.
