The Nairobi Archdiocese has decreed steps to follow when receiving the Holy Communion.
Rt. Reverend John Kamau, the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese said Christians should not sanitise their hands before receiving Holy Communion because of chemical intake from the product.
Instead, the Bishop advised that Catholics wash and maintain hygiene during Holy Mass to ensure compliance.
He directed Priests to ensure faithful consume the Host immediately on receipt.
“Priests should ensure full compliance, including enforcing the same”‘ Bishop Kamau said.
