Catholic Priest Kidnapped In Narok Found In Nakuru With Hands Tied

    Michael Muriuki, the Catholic priest who was kidnapped from his parents’ home in Mau Narok on Wednesday, has been found.

    Father Muriuki was discovered tied up with ropes in Kaptembwa, Nakuru West, on Thursday morning. He was rushed to Nakuru Referral Hospital.

    Unknown people are said to have kidnapped the priest at his mother’s house around 8 p.m. and driven him away on Elementaita Road in his Subaru Forester, registration KDK 353L.

    According to police reports, his phone signals were traced in several areas throughout Nakuru town, and his vehicle was found abandoned along Ogiligei Street at 9:30 p.m.

    Additionally, more than Ksh.100,000 was withdrawn from his several accounts at different points within the town and according to police, the vehicle was found abandoned with a running engine.

    The priest was recently transferred to Holy Cross Parish Nakuru from Elburgon in Molo.
