Celebrated Journalist Nick Mudimba Passes Away

The media fraternity is in mourning following the sudden passing of CGTN Africa journalist Nick Mudimba, who collapsed at his Syokimau home on Sunday evening.

Mudimba, who was with his family at the time, had reportedly been unwell and was receiving treatment for high uric acid levels, a condition diagnosed on Saturday.

According to a family source, the journalist had sought further medical attention on Sunday. He later watched the Harambee Stars match against Gabon, but after taking his prescribed medication, he suddenly collapsed and began convulsing.

Efforts to save him were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at home. His body has since been transferred to a mortuary in Syokimau, as the family awaits an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Mudimba had a distinguished career in journalism, having previously worked at KTN and Switch TV before joining CGTN Africa as a senior reporter.

His colleagues have described him as a dedicated professional, with many mourning his untimely demise.

    Rest in Peace Nick
