The Member of Parliament election in Rongai, Nakuru county, has been postponed indefinitely.
It was claimed that there were inconsistencies in the MP ballots.
Nakuru County IEBC manager Joseph Melle verified the incident but refused to provide any details.
He stated that the commission would produce a communication on the subject.
Raymond Moi, Rongai MP and candidate in the contest, is expected to make a press statement soon.
Following a mix-up in the production of ballot papers, IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati halted elections in four elected seats across the nation on Monday.
Mombasa and Kakamega counties are among those where governor elections have been postponed till further notice.
Chebukati stated that this was due to the discovery that candidate details and photographs were incorrect.
