Chelsea hope to clinch their first FIFA Club World Cup title

Chelsea will be hoping to clinch their first FIFA Club World Cup title on Saturday as they face Palmeiras in the final of the competition.

The Blues progressed to the final after a Romelu Lukaku goal was enough to see off Al Hilal in the semi-final earlier this week and will be hoping to add the Club World Cup to their ever-growing trophy cabinet.

The west Londoners will be hoping to have Thomas Tuchel back on the touchline for the match, but it is still up in the air at the moment after the Chelsea boss tested positive for Covid-19 last week.

Blues assistant head coach, Zsolt Low, who has been in charge in Tuchel’s absence, gave an update on whether we will see the German for the final.

Low said: “We hope he can come. We have 30 hours to the game. He follows the rules and protocols. Still a lot of time.

“We hope he can come but if not we are well prepared, we have a lot of meetings. We talk about the game, we analyse the game and see what we can do better. We’re absolutely clear what to do better in the second game.”
