A season-ticket holder has been banned indefinitely following a racist chant against Tottenham Hotspur’s Son Heung-min.
Son was racially abused during last weekend’s Premier League encounter at Stamford Bridge.
The incident occurred when South Korean international Son tried to take a corner in the second half of the 2-2 draw on August 14.
Following the game, Chelsea issued a statement in which they stated that any type of racist behavior is “absolutely disgusting.”
“Following our statement this week on racist abuse at the Tottenham game last Sunday, Chelsea Football Club can confirm that it has identified and banned a season ticket holder indefinitely,” Chelsea tweeted on Saturday.
