State House Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita has announced his resignation to focus on politics.

In a hearty statement seen by Uzalendo News, Nzioka was thankful to President Uhuru Kenyatta for the opportunity to serve the key office.

“As I bid farewell to the House on the Hill, I wish to thank H.E. the President for the honour of appointing me to be a member of his administration and for allowing me the humbling privilege to serve the people of Kenya in various different capacities over the past seven (7) years.”

Nzioka also thanked other members of the cabinet for their co-operation.

“I further wish to appreciate H.E. the Deputy President Hon William Ruto, the Head
of The Public Service Dr. Joseph Kinyua, Chairman of the National Development
Implementation Cabinet Committee, Dr. Fred Matiang’i and Chairman of the National
Development Implementation Technical Committee, Dr. Karanja Kibicho for the countless
assignments successfully undertaken and to wish them continued success as they execute their respective mandates.”

However, in a startling twist to the recent resignations, Nzioka had a message of encouragement to the youths.

“It is my hope that many young Kenyans who may be keen on playing their part in nation building will be inspired by my journey and will endeavour to pursue careers in the Public Service.” he concluded.

Uhuru’s Chief of Staff, who hails from Mwanyani in Machskos County is seeking to replace Dr. Alfred Mutua.

Nzioka will launch his campaign at Ndithini in Masinga Constituency.
