Chirchir Appointed State House Chief of Staff

He takes over from Nzioka Waita who had served in Former President Uhuru Kenyatta's regime.

Pointman Davis Chirchir has been appointed the Chief of Staff in the Executive Office of the President.

Chirchir was mentioned as the head of staff in the president’s office in a confidential letter from the Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua.

Chirchir held the position of the deputy president’s chief of staff in place of the late Ken Osinde.

He takes over from Nzioka Waita who had served in Former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime.

Prior to his service within Ruto’s ranks, Davis Chirchir was the Energy and Petroleum CS in Uhuru’s government.

He was however hounded out over corruption allegations.

He has served as the Jubilee party’s election agent and before that, a technical staffer at the obsolete Independent Electoral Commission (IIEC).
