Embakasi legislator Hon. Babu Owino has been apprehended by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations after a bar brawl gone awfully wrong.
In a CCTV footage circulating the social media, Babu Owino is spotted at Nairobi’s high-end B Club in Kilimani sub-county, having an argument with a man, who we can confirm is, Felix Orinda alias Dj Evolve.
The legislator then suddenly pulls out a gun and ended up firing at the club disc jockey, who drops unconscious on the floor.
As the video progresses, two men, one suspected to be Hon. Babu Owino, is seen helping the deejay to safety.
Dj Evolve has since been hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit wing, according to sources.
The incident triggered an uproar against the member of parliament, with some calling for his prosecution.
The Member of Parliament is expected to be arraigned before court on Monday to take plea on charges ranging from misuse of a firearm, assault and attempted murder.
