Club Rixxos Issues Statement Explaining Altercation Between Employee And Management

Club Rixxos in Kitengela has issued a statement clarifying an altercation that occurred on Wednesday night.

According to Rixxos, the woman caught on camera works at the club and came to demand her monthly salary.

Rixxos went on to say that it has been having problems with some of its employees who they accuse of stealing money from them.

“ Recently as the Rixxos management, we had an issue with a few of our waitresses and our barman which we reported to the local DCI office on the 24th November 2022 upon which they offered help and arrested the workers on December 1 on suspicion of stealing and defrauding the company.

The club claimed it sought advice from the IT department regarding losses it had been tracking over the previous weeks and used old MPesa codes stored in the system to reach its conclusion.

“The management later learned that they were released on bond for a later investigation. After release, they came to our premises threatening the management and hence the drama began between our management and the foresaid workers who were asking for their monthly salary and that’s where we made it clear that we could not pay them until the investigation is completed.”

The management explained that payment would have to wait until the investigations were completed.

Police officers stormed the Kitengela Rixxos club on Thursday night in response to the club’s owner being seen on video threatening a female employee and boasting about knowing the president.

The man also threatened the woman that nothing would be done to make him change his mind even if she reported the matter.

NPS had previously requested that the female employee go to any police station and record a statement about what had occurred.
