Court Defers Ida Bodyguard Suspect’s Plea Date

Collins Okundi, the man accused of killing Mama Ida Odinga’s bodyguard, will take the plea in November 23.

Kisumu High Court said there was a delay in the mental health evaluation report before the trial.

The accused had not yet been brought before the court for a mental assessment, which only takes place on Tuesdays at JOOTRH.

High court judge Justice Jackline Kamau has ordered that the evaluation take place on November 8th of this week.

The suspect will continue to be held on remand in Kodiaga Maximum Prison.
