Christine Chacha was convicted for fraudulently receiving Ksh 54,000 and falsely accounting for Ksh 3.3 million in 2009.

According to court documents, the money was used to pay for accommodation for resource persons to facilitate a workshop held at Nyeri Technical Institute.

According to records, the Ksh 3.3 was fraudulently claimed to have been used on sensitization w3orkshops scheduled for secondary schools on double shift programs.

In the case, Chacha was accused alongside Concelia Ondiek who at the time was the Acting director of secondary and tertiary education, Thomas Omunga, Fred Ochanda and Francis Imbo but the four co-accused were acquitted after the prosecution failed to prove their case against them.
