The High Court has issued conservatory orders blocking police from arresting or detaining two MPs aligned to DP Gachagua as part of the probe into the funding of the Gen Z protests.
The High Court order appears to be cushioning Embakasi North MP James Gakuya and his Embakasi Central counterpart Benjamin Mejja Donk.
The two were on July 31 picked from Parliament buildings and questioned over the Gen Z protests funding.
They are both allies to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Other allies to the Deputy President including three aides have also been interrogated in connection with the funding of the protests.
Justice Chacha Mwita has since issued orders stopping the arrest and detention of the two lawmakers.
