Court dismisses Child Support case against CJ Maraga

A controversial Child support case filed by a woman identified as Mary Kwamboka against Chief Justice David Maraga has been thrown out by the Nairobi Children’s Court.

Citing reasons, the court ruled that the case was not properly filed as she had failed to pay a requisite fee of Ksh655.

Speaking after the ruling, Maraga’s Lawyer Danstan Omari added that Ms. Kwamboka failed to appear before court. He said her case was a malicious move made to stain the Chief Justice’s image.

“This was a stage-managed play to annoy, frustrate, disparage and ridicule and bring disrespect to the office of the Chief Justice,”

The controversial case came just moments after a public spat against the Executive. Ms. Kwamboka suffered social media attacks with many downplaying her dramatic entrance at the court.

The case, however, was marred with abnormalities. Among them was a non-existing registrar of births by the name F.O Shamwata and a register officer by the name N.P Otieno.
