A Milimani magistrate Court has withdrawn a matter in which businessman Parminder Singh Manku had been charged with stealing over Ksh.71 million from his partners.
The case was withdrawn under section 87A of the criminal procedure code meaning the prosecution have got a right to rearrest him if they get new evidence in the case.
When the matter came up for mention on Monday the prosecution told the court that the charges against Manku were civil in nature adding that the prosecution does not intend to proceed with the matter.
Manku had been charged before Nairobi senior principal magistrate Robinson Ondieki with three counts of stealing, forgery and uttering a false document to a bank to lie that he was the sole signatory of the company.
