Court Seals Records in Probe of Teen’s Body Found in Singer D4vd’s Tesla

Court Seals All Records in Investigation of Teen Found Dead in Singer D4vd's Tesla

A court has imposed a security hold, barring the public release of all records related to the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose body was found in a Tesla registered to viral singer D4vd.

The Los Angeles Police Department requested the order to ensure it receives information from the medical examiner before the public. This practice is highly unusual; the Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Odey Ukpo, stated it is “virtually unheard of in other counties” and compromises their dedication to “full transparency.”

The severely decomposed body of Rivas Hernandez was discovered in the trunk of the impounded car on September 8th. The car had been towed from the Hollywood Hills, and the teen had been reported missing since April.

The case has had devastating consequences. Rivas Hernandez’s family is “heartbroken and devastated.” Meanwhile, the discovery has derailed the career of D4vd (real name David Anthony Burke), leading to cancelled tours, dropped brand deals, and a police raid on his Hollywood Hills home.

While the police robbery-homicide division investigates, the court-ordered secrecy has shrouded the case in mystery, withholding from the public any official details about how the teenager died.
