Governors have finally been caged.
Once charged with corruption or abuse of office, they must stay away from their registered office until the case is heard and determined.
But those facing crimes of passion such as Okoth Obado, inducted for murder can stay in office.
Even rapist Governors can continue taking tea in their offices as long as their victims are not employees of the county.
And so Mike Sonko, Muthomi Njuki, Okoth Obado to mention but three are on their own.
Governors were hoping to get presidential like amnesty until Justice Nzioka silenced them.
So future Governors have a sword of demagogue hanging over their heads and will deter them from stealing public money.
The ruling will give the next President latitude to operate and tame the Governors.
