COVID-19: 418 more infected, as Kenya tally nears 14,000

Kenya has so far registered 13,771 cases of the dreaded coronavirus. – By Gerald Gekara.

In his update, 418 more people tested positive for coronavirus, further pushing Kenya’s caseload to 13,771.

The cases were recovered from a sample size of 2,474. So far, Kenya’s total samples tested stands at 246,361.

However, 494 people were reported to have recovered from the disease, with a majority of the numbers being that of patients placed under home-based care.

So far, Nairobi and Mombasa have the highest infection rate in the country. Despite this, governors have urged swift action to be taken in order to avoid the spread of cases in counties.

Only 3 out of 47 counties have not reported a single case of the virus; Baringo, West Pokot, and Samburu.
