Crazy Kennar Jets To London For Meta’s Creator Week

Kennedy Odhiambo, better known as Crazy Kennar, a Kenyan comedian, has flown to London courtesy of Meta to attend the EMEA Creator Week.

On Wednesday, the content creator took to Instagram stories to post a video of himself leaving the country, followed by another of a layover in Doha, Qatar.

He then posted a video of himself, presumably in a taxi in London, having already arrived on Thursday evening.

Kennar and radio host Kwambox were the only Kenyan content creators chosen for the event as part of Meta’s ‘Creators of Tomorrow’ campaign.

The African ‘Creators of Tomorrow’ included two each from Kenya, Ivory Coast, and Senegal, as well as one each from Uganda, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

The event’s goal is to increase content creators’ resources and help them grow their audience.

“We’re committed to helping creators grow their community and make a living on our platforms. As we work toward the Metaverse, our investments aim to empower creators with the cutting-edge tools, education and resources needed to build creative and financial success – now and in the future,” explained Meta previously.

Meta approached African content creators because they have creatively used Meta’s technologies and applications, such as Facebook and Instagram, to showcase their talents and abilities to tell African stories to the rest of the world.

The event is being held in London for the first time at the iconic Tate Britain.
