The second season of Kenyan police procedural and legal drama Crime and Justice, which is expected to broadcast in 2022, has begun filming.
Crime and Justice follows detectives Makena (Sarah Hassan, Famous, Just In Time) and Silas (Alfred Munyua, Nafsi, The First Grader) as they investigate one ripped-from-the-headlines case per week.
Fans commended Crime and Justice Season 1 for covering challenging contemporary themes in Kenya such as femicide and domestic violence, terrorism and radicalization, as well as revealing the limits of Kenya’s justice system, which was the first of its type in the country.
Crime and Justice were recently nominated for three Kalasha awards, including Best TV Drama, Best Lead Actor (Munyua), and Best Lead Actress in a TV Drama (Hassan).
