Cristiano Ronaldo Admits Using AI to Write Acceptance Speech

Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he turned to artificial intelligence to help craft his speech at the Portugal Football Globes gala, where he received the prestigious Globe Prestige Award.

The 40-year-old forward, who has spent more than two decades breaking records at Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and now Al-Nassr, admitted he felt nervous ahead of the ceremony — a rare moment for the usually composed superstar.

“I have a few trophies at home, but this one is special and beautiful,” Ronaldo said. “I got a little nervous and thought, ‘What am I going to say?’ So I did some research on Perplexity — if you don’t know, search it — and got a little help.”

Ronaldo said the recognition was not a farewell gesture but a sign of his continuing journey.

“I don’t see this trophy as the end of a career, but as a continuation of everything I’ve done,” he added.

Despite turning 40, Ronaldo remains in top form, boasting 223 international caps and 141 goals for Portugal. With the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Ireland and Hungary approaching, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is determined to keep pushing for global glory.

Ronaldo, who recently extended his contract with Al-Nassr, continues to lead Portugal’s frontline as he eyes another shot at football’s biggest prize, the World Cup, in North America next year.
