Cristiano Ronaldo Sends Message After Scoring on Return Manchester United

Ronaldo took to Twitter following United's 3-0 victory and posted an image of himself performing his new celebration with the caption: "Great team effort and a good victory." We stand together. Let's go, United!

Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he is’standing together’ with Manchester United following his goal-scoring return to the Red Devils’ starting lineup.

Erik ten Hag welcomed him back into the United team on Thursday evening after he missed the weekend’s game against Chelsea.

He was left out of the squad after storming down the tunnel during the recent victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford, and he also refused to be introduced as a substitute.

Despite this, Ronaldo continued where he left off in the Europa League match against Sheriff, scoring once again.

After having a header saved by visiting goalkeeper Maksym Koval, the veteran forward reacted quickly to the rebound and powered the ball home for his third goal of the season in all competitions.

Ronaldo took to Twitter following United’s 3-0 victory and posted an image of himself performing his new celebration with the caption: “Great team effort and a good victory.” We stand together. Let’s go, United!

Manager Ten Hag also commented on the forward’s goal after a difficult period in his career, saying he expects more goals to come throughout the rest of the season.

“Wonderful,” said the Dutchman. He [Ronaldo] created. The team creates for him. We know he has the ability to finish, and that day will come. I’ll say he needs a goal to get past a snag. I’m confident that more goals will follow.”

Meanwhile, the former Ajax schemer praised the 37-year-old for his efforts to keep pushing for a goal during what appeared to be a frustrating evening.

Ten Hag continued in his press conference, saying, “Yes, what you said, he kept going, the team kept going to put him in the right position.”

Ronaldo now has three goals from 13 appearances in all competitions and will be hoping to maintain his form in the coming weeks and leading up to the World Cup.

United host West Ham United at Old Trafford this weekend, and they have a crucial European match against Real Sociedad next week as they try to finish top of their Europa League group and avoid a potentially difficult playoff to reach the knockout round.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo will be looking to make an impression at the World Cup in Qatar, where he will face Ghana, Uruguay, and South Korea in difficult group matches.
