Aisha Jumwa, the CS for Public Service and Gender, was present at the Commission on the Status of Women’s 67th session’s opening ceremony on Monday at the UN’s New York headquarters.
With the topic of Innovation and technological transformation, and education in the digital age for attaining gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls, the event will take place from March 6 through March 17.
During CSW, which takes place in March at UN Headquarters in New York, leaders from UN Member States come together to assess gender equality progress, identify obstacles, establish global standards, and create specific policies to enhance women’s rights.
The Kenyan government delegation is being led by Hon. Jumwa, who will also speak on behalf of Kenya at the General Assembly and take part in high-level ministerial roundtable discussions. The State Department for Women Principal Secretary is also a member of the delegation.
