The Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport, Davis Chirchir, met with officials from Fujita Corporation.
According to Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), they discussed the successful completion of the Mombasa Port Area Road Development, which is a key project enhancing connectivity to the South Coast.
“This milestone strengthens infrastructure and supports economic growth,” KeNHA said.

This project aims to alleviate port congestion, improve the movement of goods, and strengthen Kenya’s position as a regional trade hub.
The road is designed to address persistent congestion at the port, streamlining the logistics chain for goods entering and leaving the country.
Also in attendance were KeNHA Director General Eng. Kungu Ndungu and Director of Development Eng. Henry Gakuru.
