The Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration Kithure Kindiki has allocated responsibilities to the three Cabinet Administrative Secretaries appointed to his ministry pending the outcome of the ongoing judicial processes.
In a statement issued on Monday, CS Kindiki welcomed Samuel Ole Tunai, Millicent Omanga, and Mohamud Saleh to the ministry, outlining the departments they will each lead and stating that the move will aid in the effective delivery of services.
Millicent Omanga has been assigned to the State Department for Immigration and Citizen Services, which is in charge of reforms in the Civil Registration Services (CRS), the National Registration Bureau (NRB), and the Department of Refugee Affairs (DRA).
Her counterpart, Samuel Ole Tunai, will lead the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration, while Mohamud Saleh will oversee the State Department for Correctional Services.
Saleh’s department is in charge of reforms in the Kenya Prisons Service (KPS), Borstal Institutions, and the Probation Department.
However, Kindiki noted that the allocations will be subject to the outcome of the ongoing judicial processes.
