CS Kindiki Receives New Security Equipment in Mombasa

Cabinet Secretary of Interior and Administration of National Government, Kithure Kindiki, received, examined, and put into service a new batch of high-capacity, contemporary Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) today that will improve the nation’s capabilities in front-line operations.

Kindiki reaffirmed that in order to achieve rapid economic development spurred by both domestic and foreign investment, a more aggressive and uncompromising stance against all threats to national security is necessary in order to realise lasting peace, security, and stability.

He continued by saying that the government is implementing a Ksh.37 billion, five-year Police Equipment Modernization (PEM) programme to equip, protect, and minimise the exposure of frontline security personnel in the frontlines of the nation’s security operations, as well as to inflict the greatest amount of pain on dangerous criminals posing a threat to public safety.

This programme is intended to defeat terror, banditry, and other organised violent criminal enterprises that severely impair homeland security ideals.

Kindiki maintained that every new piece of cutting-edge security gear that enters the country moves the nation one step closer to realising the goal of a safer country where people are free from fear of criminal organisations of all kinds.
