Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Dr Alfred Mutua, Wednesday, received the Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Nairobi.
The CS who had just arrived from Canada said that Loong will be in the country for a two-day official state visit.
“During his visit, the Prime Minister will hold High-Level consultations with his host, H.E President Dr. William Samoei Ruto, on matters of mutual interest between Kenya and Singapore including ways of fostering greater trade and investment facilitation between the two countries,” CS Mutua said.
Singapore has well-developed financial and industrial sectors, which enhances the country’s position as a world trade centre.
This visit will therefore serve to reinforce Kenya as a strategic gateway to investing in Africa and is also a welcome manifestation of the spirit of positive South-South Cooperation.
