Cabinet Secretary of Youth Affairs, Sports, and the Arts Ababu Namwamba has lauded Kenyan performers on Netflix lauding them for putting Kenyans on the map
CS Namwamba met the team led by Catherine Kamau, aka Kate Actress on Wednesday.
The meeting’s agenda called for the team to share their knowledge and experiences in winning the international film market.
Ababu praised the team for consistently leveraging the opportunity to promote the country on a global scale.
“Let us stick to Kenyanicity in the way we tell our stories. This is the only way we can be able to curve out our niche in this hugely competitive world of creatives arena. The government will support artists to fully realise Kenya’s creatives’ potential,” he said.Â
Among the Kenyan films available on Netflix are Disconnect, Country Queen, Nairobi Half-life, Uradi, Morning After, 40 Sticks, and Super Modo.
