The Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communication and the Digital Economy Mr. Eliud Owalo on Tuesday, 1st November 2022, hosted a delegation from the Council of Governors (COG) at the Ministry headquarters.
The COG team led by the ICT and Knowledge Management Chairman and Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Mr. Wisley Rotich discussed the importance of having strategic partnerships between the national and county governments in the strengthening of ICT and digitization of government services in the counties.
CS Owalo assured the delegation of the national government’s commitment to foster economic transformation through ICT for competitiveness and sustainable human development in the counties.
Also present during the meeting was the Principal Secretary for ICT and the Digital Economy Jerome Ochieng, and his Broadcasting and Telecommunications counterpart Esther Koimett, Daniel Obam of the National Communication Secretariat was also present.
