Investigators from Starehe have apprehended two suspects connected to the death of a 25-year-old Utalii College student.
Job Chihonyi was murdered On February 5, 2023, a few meters from the college gate along Thika Road.
The suspects, Kevin Ngechu and Maxwell Omukuba, are said to have cornered Chihonyi, stolen his phone, and then stabbed him in the chest before fleeing on a motorbike.
On Saturday, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) tweeted, “A mobile phone believed to be proceeds of crime was also recovered from Kevin Ngechu, as was a black motorbike registration number KMGF 828K, which was used as a getaway means on the fateful day.”
The two suspects are in custody and are expected to be arraigned in Court next week to face murder charges.
