The directorate of criminal investigation (DCI) has informed members of the public that unconscious police lost his gun in the case of a stolen police firearm.

The said firearm is linked to over 30 robberies targeting Mpesa shops in Nairobi for over three years.

According to DCI, the gun was stolen from a police officer on special duty who was found lying unconscious close to the Parklands police station.

Investigations established that the officer had been stupefied by women belonging to a drink-spiking syndicate led by slain thug Samuel Muvota.

The women targeting male patrons had invaded city night spots like hurricanes that swept men’s bank accounts clean in a matter of minutes.

Detectives from the elite crime research and intelligence bureau later found out that the stolen firearm was hired out to thugs who reigned terror on city tranders.
