In a dramatic twist in the ongoing murder trial of Sarah Wairimu Kamotho, new testimony has unveiled chilling details of how slain Dutch tycoon Tob Cohen was discovered—stuffed in a sealed underground water tank at his lavish Kitisuru home.
The court heard from retired DCI officer Frank Anunda, who described the grim night of September 13, 2019, when he and a team of investigators unearthed Cohen’s decomposing body wrapped in black cloth, hidden inside a cement-sealed tank with just inches of water.
The find was so shocking it was immediately documented with forensic photography—24 of the 105 photos presented in court captured the exact moment Cohen was retrieved from the tank.
The evidence also included post-mortem photos revealing horrific internal and external injuries, and dental images confirming Cohen’s identity via his distinctive golden tooth.
Sarah Wairimu, Cohen’s widow, sat silently as the court was shown graphic photos of her husband’s remains. She has once again been denied bail, with Justice Diana Kavedza citing her lack of remorse and past attempts to intimidate witnesses.
The court has preserved the crime scene for future witness testimonies, barring Sarah and her family from accessing the house without permission.
Cohen’s brutal murder on July 19, 2019, shocked the nation, exposing a marriage riddled with tension and mystery.
As the trial barrels forward, many are watching closely—will justice for Cohen finally be served, or is this just another chapter in Kenya’s most twisted love-and-murder saga?
