Manchester United will sign Andre Onana now that David de Gea’s departure has been confirmed, according to the Telegraph.
“David de Gea has announced his departure from Manchester United this summer after 12 years at Old Trafford,” the paper writes, “with the club poised to step up their efforts to sign Inter Milan’s Andre Onana as his replacement.”
“Onana was Ten Hag’s goalkeeper when the Dutch reached the Champions League semi-finals before moving to Inter, where he reached the Champions League final last season.”
The Italian club wants £51.5 million for their keeper, and the deal is still in its early stages despite all parties’ willingness to do business.
“United are yet to make a formal offer but have verbally discussed the deal with Inter, with personal terms also yet to be discussed with the player. Ten Hag’s pre-season matches start on July 12 against Leeds and his squad will fly to America for a tour later this month.”
