Kenya’s Kelvin Kiptum won the 2022 Valencia Marathon in a time of 2:01:53, on Sunday, December 4.
Kiptum has made history by running the third-fastest marathon in history and the fastest debut.
He defeated world champion Tamirat Tola and Tanzanian Gabriel Geay, who has a personal best of 2:04:55.
Geay finished second in 2:03:00, with Kenya’s Alexander Mutiso Munyao rounding out the top three just 29 seconds later.
