Deported Lawyer Miguna Miguna Endorses Ruto

Exiled Kenyan lawyer Dr. Miguna Miguna has endorsed Deputy President William Ruto to take over from Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 9 General elections.

While speaking to Look Up TV on Wednesday March 16, Miguna claimed that someone from Mt Kenya was sent to persuade him to support Raila Odinga and if not he asked him not to endorse the Deputy President.

But he declared, “I can’t endorse Raila, I was approached by a good friend of mine from central who is in Azimio who was sent to talk to me but his efforts were unsuccessful. But I can’t do that.”

Miguna, who is known not to have kind words for President Uhuru Kenyatta and his handshake brother Odinga, said electing DP Ruto is the only way to end impunity in the country.

“There is no way I can support Raila. What they were saying is that even if I am not supporting Raila, I should endorse Ruto. Well, today on a national TV, I 100 per cent endorse William Ruto,” said the lawyer.

He went ahead to urge Kenyans with freedom blood in their veins to rally behind the deputy president.

“Without apology, I do hereby say that I Miguna Miguna declare that Kenyans who are committed to freedom and rule of law should vote for Ruto on August 9. I am asking all Kenyans to support him to put to an end this cycle of dynastic tyranny.”

Miguna was deported from the Country in 2018, after playing a starring role in the swearing-in of Odinga as the people’s president, on the backdrop of the 2017 contested presidential elections.

Deputy President William Ruto recently promised to allow him back to Kenya if he becomes president in August 9 general elections.
