Derrick Kuto Says KMJA Is Ready To Handle Arising Disputes After 9th August Elections

Kuto says that all magistrate and judges were trained and that all petitions will be heard expeditiously.

Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association (KMJA) president Derrick Kuto has revealed that its members (Judges and Magistrates) are prepared to handle electoral disputes that may arise after the 9th general elections.

In an interview with local media, Kuto urged Kenyans to hold peaceful elections and to avoid conflict.

“On behalf of Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association, we wish to call upon Kenyans to be very peaceful, to conduct themselves in a peaceful manner at this time when we are about to have elections… we urge people not to be disorderly,” Kuto said.

Kuto says that all magistrate and judges were trained and that all petitions will be heard expeditiously.

He further added that there will be hotlines numbers incase of any security issue the magistrate and judges can call anytime for help.
