Devolution Cabinet Secretary Charles Keter has resigned from government.

He is set to join the race for Kericho governor, currently held by the outgoing Paul Chepkwony.

“I wish to sincerely thank the President for nominating me to serve in the cabinet. During my tenure alot of strides were made in the Energy sector and the ministry of devolution.”

He is the first secretary general in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s cabinet to support the DP.

Keter was the first member of President’s cabinet to support Ruto.

“I will support him till he is elected President of this country. Tell that to the rumor mongers who have been alleging that I am not a member of UDA,” Keter stated.

Earlier on, Ministry of Labour CAS Patrick Ntutu announced his resignation to contest for the Narok county gubernatorial seat.
