Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa to remain in custody for 10 more days pending investigation.
The prosecution counsel from the office of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has successfully convinced the court that indeed the state has sufficient evidence to warrant further detention of Mr. Barasa.
The application sought for 10 days to allow detectives complete investigations and allow more witnesses including NYS and IEBC officials to record statements.
The case will be mentioned on August 24,2022 for the DPP to confirm status of the investigation before making any decision to charge.
