Divock Origi, a striker for Liverpool, has reportedly decided to join AC Milan when he becomes a free agent in the summer.

The 26-year-old is in the penultimate year of his Reds deal, and when the dust settles on the 2021-2022 campaign, he will leave Anfield.

Despite Italian analyst Federico Zancan encouraging the San Siro giants to stay away, he has been connected with the Rossoneri for some time.

According to reports earlier this month, the Serie A club was prepared to offer the Belgium international a four-year contract.

Newcastle United, on the other hand, appeared to enter the picture, hoping to get the former Lille player for free.

However, according to Sport Mediaset, talks between the player’s representation and Milan have now been completed.

There was a great deal of noise surrounding Origi when he first signed for Liverpool. The Ostend-born ace was just 19 when he put pen to paper with the northwest giants in July 2014.

He was loaned back to Lille for the following season before embarking on his Reds career in 2015-2016. The talented forward found game time hard to come by initially but did make 34 top-flight appearances in 2016-2017.
