Dj Poizon Ivy, Akothee, Willy M Tuva, reap big in Dallas AFRIMMA Awards

BY FAITH MUTETE – Kenyans have done Kenya proud once again after three Kenyans got crowned in the 6th annual African Muzik Magazine Awards which took place on October 26 in Texas.

Akothee, the songbird waled away with the title of Best Female Musician in East Africa, having brushed off competition from the likes of Vanessa Mdee, Victoria Kimani and Fena Gitu.

Mambo Mseto host Mzazi Willy M. Tuva was also crowned Best Radio and TV presenter in Africa, while DJ Poison Ivy walked away with the best DJ in East Africa.

The Annual African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) is the sole award ceremony in the Diaspora that caters to all musical genres including but not limited to: Afrobeats, Assiko, Bongo, Decale, Funana, Genge, Highlife, Hiplife, Kwaito, Lingala and Soukous.
