Dont Fight Politicians Wars — Muturi To Kenyans

During the campaign season, National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi is advocating for tolerance and peace.

The Democratic Party presidential candidate warned that continued squabbling and name-calling will destabilize the country.

He warned rival politicians’ followers not to tolerate being exploited to incite violence, noting that politicians stay friends and eat together even after speaking badly of each other at campaign rallies.

“When politicians conduct handshake agreements and sip tea and eat together in hotels, their voters are not consulted,” Muturi said.

“Those who fight believe politicians are adversaries, but I assure you that most of us are friends; ours is a game of politics, not hostility.”‘

The judiciary has set up a special court to prosecute cases of hate speech and incitement to violence in a bid to tame politicians.

Various groups including religious factions have come out to condemn outburst by politicians that is likely to cause hatred.
