Hundreds of residents have been forced to spend their night in the cold after a fire torched several homes in Vila, Langata constituency.
The fire is said to have started from one of the affected structures before it spread fast to others.
Police say up to 20 structures were flattened and there was no help that came from the fire brigade whose vehicles are grounded for lack of insurance cover.
