Mt Kenya, according to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, deserves the high-level appointments from President William Ruto because it overwhelmingly supported the current administration.
“You’ve seen how our people are represented in Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and soon-to-be envoys. We are not fools. We’re also not very bright. We’re in the middle… hoping to get powerful slots for our people,” he said in a tour to Murang’a.
Mr Gachagua said during the commissioning of the Sh261 million Murang’a Technical Training Institute branch on the outskirts of Maragua town that a united Mt Kenya under one political command point will benefit in the sharing of the national cake and chart future political programs.
“Pay attention to the names being read in the appointments.” Mt Kenya as a whole is represented. We have not yet arrived. “In that journey, we will push for more benefits and want all political wings to work together,” he said.
“What is it all about, we supported this government?” “What’s the problem with getting a share proportionate to our votes?” he posed.
“Those talking out of turn about Mt Kenya on TV are clueless and need to get on the ground to understand what the commoner values.”
He told Mt Kenya residents that they are “lucky to have Dr William Ruto as president” because, at the national cake sharing table, he told us to pick the prime slots and leave the rest for him to distribute.
These remarks from the second in command of the East African giant Country and in the 21st Century comes after the Kenya Kwanza Government promised Kenyans that the government represents the face of the Country and that they will serve Kenyans without discrimination.
Ironically, this promise failed to take root in the PS nomination list which was unsuccessfully challenged in Court.
