Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Thursday evening received 89,191 metric tons of petrol from United Arabs Emirates (UAE).

The oil arrived on board the Mv Norddolphin vessel that docked at Kipevu Oil Terminal 2 in Mombasa.

The Mv Norddolphin is one of the two vessels that will discharge the first consignment of oil purchased under a government-to-government agreement.

The oil tankers are being received from the United Arab Emirates after the government signed a government-to-government (G2G) deal with UAE’s Abu Dhabi National Oil Corporation (ADNOC) Global Trading for the supply of automotive gas oil and Jet A-1 for 270 days (nine months).
