According to a new poll conducted by Trends and Insights Africa (TIFA), Deputy President William Ruto is the most popular presidential contender.

38% of those polled would vote for Ruto, while 27% would vote for ODM leader Raila Odinga.

The exercise also indicated that Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has a popularity rating of 2%, while Mudavadi has a popularity rating of 1%.

However, 20% of Kenyans remain undecided on who to vote for.

In the surveys, 41% of respondents chose former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth to be Raila’s running mate.

For the third time since 2013, 18 percent of respondents want Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka to drop out of the presidential race in favor of Odinga and serve as his running mate.

Martha Karua, the leader of the Narc-Kenya Party, has received the most votes as Odinga’s preferred female running mate, garnering 13% of the vote against Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu’s 5%.

UDA Party remains to be the most popular party, commanding a solid 35% against Raila’s ODM, at 24%.

The ruling Jubilee party saw its popularity decrease to just 4 percent, while wiper maintains 2% popularity.
