Deputy President William Ruto has appointed Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki as his chief agent during the August 9 polls.
The DP made the announcement on Saturday, following his appearance before the IEBC and being cleared to run for President.
Kindiki will serve alongside Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok and UDA secretary-general Veronica Maina.
Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission chairman, Wafula Chebukati, presented Ruto with a certificate on Saturday after he presented his credentials.
Kindiki stood as Ruto made his speech upon being presented with his clearance certificate.
