DP Ruto vows to donate more as Catholic stamps Authority against Politics in Church

Hours after the Nyeri Archbishop David Muheria led the Catholic Church in declaring its fight against corruption, the Deputy President William Ruto has come out to protest the churches’ decision to ban church donations.

Speaking in Meru, the Deputy president added that Politicians are indeed chdistians and it is no ones business where they should worship.

“Sisi ni wakristo jamani. Kwani mnathani tumekuja matembezi?” (We are Christians. Do you think we come here to stroll?)

Upon being asked at a local interview, Bishop Muheria stated that despite the law being clear, they will not Police any church against entertaining politics, but action will be taken on those that flaunt the new rules.
