Dr. Alfred Mutua, the secretary for foreign affairs, met with the Westminster Business Group in London to discuss ways to promote business and investment possibilities in Kenya.
The CS described Kenya’s renewed zeal and commitment to combating bureaucracy and corruption.
According to Dr. Mutua, the Kwanza administration in Kenya has taken significant steps to combat corruption by utilizing digital service delivery platforms like E-citizen and the digitization of government services.
Mutua informed the UK investors that Kenya had made it feasible to register a business within a month and start doing business in a remarkably short amount of time.
The lives of Kenyans would improve as a result of this plug-and-play strategy, which would enable investors to earn their returns as rapidly as feasible.
The UK investors committed to travel to Kenya by June of this year to investigate investment prospects in sectors such as infrastructure (building roads and dams), affordable housing, medical equipment, digital connection, and value-adding in agricultural products.
